Mexichem plant to be expanded
Morelos, Mexico.- In its effort to become one of the largest manufacturers of hydrofluoric acid in the world and with an investment of around US$30 million, Mexiquen, formerly Quimica Fluor, is expected to inaugurate in a few months the expansion of one of their plants.
This was revealed by Guillermo Rico Leal, Tamaulipas Minister of Economic Development and Employment, who further said that this type of investments are very important because they create a permanent productive plant of strategic importance, economically speaking, in the region.
“Mexiquen has already inaugurated their aluminum trifluoride plant, with the attendance of the President of the Republic; we do not know if he will also come to the inauguration of the plant expansion, which will add to US$60 million invested in Matamoros”, Minister Rico said.
Minister Rico further said that there are new projects in this plant but this expansion is undoubtedly the most important thing Mexiquen will do in Matamoros.
