Works in three Aeolian fields in Oaxaca to start soon
Mexico,- With an investment for around US$600 million, construction of Oaxaca II, III and IV Aeolian fields will start here; the fields will be operated by the state-owned power generation and distribution company Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE).
Acciona Energia Mexico is the company responsible to develop these projects in Tehuantepec Isthmus southern region, to generate 304.2 megawatts once commercial operation starts in 2011.
Acciona Energia Mexico won the bidding for the works, after presenting the best Generation Leveled Price (GLP) of 6.58 US Dollar cents per kilowatt-hour for Oaxaca II Central.
Construction, scheduled to be completed in 526 calendar days, will generate around one thousand 200 direct jobs and around one thousand indirect jobs.
