Volkswagen will continue with days off and stoppages
Mexico City,- Volkswagen informed they will continue with rotating compulsory days off and technical stoppages, while federal resources from supports to companies are received.
Tomas Karig, Corporate Relations Vice-president, said that there are around 500 people taking rotating compulsory days off, which will stay until the situation improves.
Regarding resources granted by the government through the Ministry of the Economy, he explained that such resources have not arrived yet because the rules to complete the proceedings were changed.
“When the Holy Week was over, the documentation and applications process was restarted, we expect this process will be ended within the next few days and resources are delivered in May”, he said.
He pointed out that until next May 16 when activities go back to their normal pace, there will be 16 days, of which nine were total technical stoppages and seven were partial stoppages.
