Small companies confidence growing
Mexico City,- More than 63% of SMC’s in Mexico are confident on the future of the economy in Mexico, according to results from a survey made by HSBC’s SMC’s Confidence Monitoring, which shows that in the second quarter of this year confidence among small businesses has grown, to the extent that 25% are already considering making business abroad.
Victor Balcazar, Head of SMC’s Banking with HSBC, said in a press conference that one of the main reasons why companies do not have a credit from financial institutions is because they are not familiar with the plans offered.
He therefore recommended new investors cautious counseling, in addition to learning how to separate personal from business matters, and to avoid over-indebtedness, being more mature to prevent a crisis.
He further said that confidence will grow in the second half of the year, and that from April to June small and medium companies considered that Mexico’s economic outlook is stable; 63% of companies surveyed answered that the situation in Mexico will remain the same as at the end of 2009.
