Shifts reactivated again in Saltillo Industry
Coahuila, Mexico,- Assemblers are taking their production pace again and therefore suppliers are also showing improvement signs and several companies have reactivated the shifts they had suspended, according to Francisco Javier Grijalva Campa, Proesa CEO and Chairman of Ramos Arizpe Industrialists and Businessmen Association. “Cars sales of competitive brands in the United States have resumed and rebound is seen closer locally, which may be observed in the reactivation of some shifts by suppliers, which makes us forecast a more positive outlook for the rest of the year”, he said.
Grijalva Campa said that low-fuel consuming cars are the cars which sales will increase, “because, as may be seen, 8-cylinder cars are passing away”.
He said that in this context Mexico has good perspectives as the platform of compact and sub-compact cars and SUVs, and therefore anticipated better results as the year advances.
