Mexican manufactures sold to USA rebounding
Mexico City,- In 2009 Mexican manufactures of steel, textiles, engines, electric and home appliances exported to the United States overdid products from China, Brazil or India, according to statistics from the US Census Bureau.
Mexican products that compete against similar articles from the emerging economies mentioned above got a better position thanks to taking advantage of our geographical location, in addition to offering quality and service, specialists point-out.
In rolled steel articles, Mexico had an 8.64% share of the US market in 2009, 1.5 points more than the previous year.
"When imports into the USA went down, it was to be expected that the first manufactures to recover their position would be Mexico’s, because many exports made are intra-firm transactions”, Arnulfo Gomez, Researcher in Universidad Anahuac, explained.
