Daimler Trucks will have a second shift
Saltillo, Coahuila,- Due to increase in production from January to May, Daimler Vehiculos Comerciales Mexico announced they will start a second production shift in their Saltillo Plant, and a third shift in their plant in Santiago Tianguistenco, State of Mexico.
This year the company’s production in Mexico grew 124% (116% for export market) when compared to 2009, Gerhard Gross, President, Daimler Vehiculos Comerciales Mexico, informed, even if he acknowledged that last year demand was down.
He pointed-out that Daimler Trucks plant in Derramadero currently has one thousand 150 workers and plans are to start the second shift as soon as possible; however, he would not specify the expected increase in production with the additional shift.
