Aguascalientes, Mexico.- The Governor of Aguascalientes, Carlos Lozano de la Torre, confirmed that grading works for Nissan’s second plant in Aguascalientes started on time, which ensures meeting the calendar proposed by the assembler accurately and efficiently, and have the first car produced by the company in the new premises leave the plant on the first day of December 2013.
Armando Avila Moreno, Manufacture Vice-president for Nissan Mexicana, thanked the state government for the big and prompt support received to purchase the land and start works, since with this Nissan Mexicana may guarantee observing the construction calendar for their new plant and start operations late next year.
The project will require a US$2 billion investment, and it will be built as one of the most important automotive complexes in the world, consolidating its position as the most important foreign investment in Mexico.
