Torreon, Coahuila.- By the end of 2012, Vijai Electricals Mexico will start operations at Zona de Conectividad in La Laguna Region; therefore, hiring will start in its first stage, recruiting 100 employees out of 600.
Francisco Ovejero Sanchez, Chief Operations Officer, said that the investment was announced in 2008, but due to the economic crisis the credit line required to start operations had not been materialized; but now, this India-based company manufacturer of electric transformers is expected to start operations by the end of this year in La Laguna.
The estimated investment is US$25 million to produce around 450 transformers daily, making Vijai the most important transformers manufacturer in Mexico and Latin America.
The industrial building is ready in Zona de Conectividad at Gomez Palacio and now they only have to bring part of the equipment to manufacture electric transformers.
