Leon, Guanajuato. The Japanese company THK, developer of linear movement components for automotive industry, started operations in Silao, their first plant in Mexico. With an investment amounting to US$67 million, government authorities and the company’s officers headed the groundbreaking for the construction of the production center, that will generate 250 direct jobs.
This company was born in 1971 in Japan; they currently have 28 production plants all over the world; their design and exclusive technology has made of this company leader in the world in the development of a linear movement guide mechanism for automotive industry.
“We will soon have our first plant in Mexico, where we will start production of aluminum parts for suspensions with the best engineering; we also plan manufacturing products for the main body”, Akihiro Teramachi, CEO, THK, declared.
