Queretaro, Queretaro,- Executives from the US Company Sikorsky, one of the most important in the. world manufacturing helicopters, both for commercial and military use, visited yesterday Governor Francisco Garrido Patron to talk to him about their interest in opening a manufacturing plant at the State.At the end of the meeting the Minister of Sustainable Development, Renato Lopez Otamendi, informed that US investors presented to Queretaro Governor a project which could materialize within the next few days.
He pointed-out that this is an ambitious and important plan, which is still being negotiated and therefore he would not disclose the amount of this investment, nor the number of jobs that would be generated at the State.
Minister Lopez Otamendi informed that there are 12 companies in the aeronautics industry in Queretaro and there are negotiations underway for the establishment of other plants so that by the end of 2009 there could be 15 or 16.
