Mexico.- After the earthquake and its consequences in Japan, Toyota’s operations have been affected in the international arena. However, in Mexico the company still has enough spare parts stock to meet domestic market demand.
Ana Maria Vallarino, Communications Director for Toyota Motor Sales de Mexico, informed that their dealerships network has an optimum level of vehicles inventory, even if they do not know for how many months, because each of the 16 product lines they have has a different number of units. For the time being, Tacoma pick-up truck assembly line in Tecate Plant in Baja California, is working normally.
