Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.- Jose Luis Armendariz, Chairman, Maquiladoras Association, presented to Chihuahua’s Governor and Representatives the proposal to support the National Suppliers Center, Centro Nacional de Proveedores (Cenadep) that will foster the chain of supply for maquiladora industry.
The purpose is encouraging companies to join this project with incentives such as support on Payroll Tax to companies that join the project, which purpose is increasing domestic supplies, especially local supplies, used by maquiladora industry.
Jose Luis Armendariz said that approaching the State Governor is the first step, until reaching federal agencies, to consolidate the project started by AMAC/Index Juarez and which not only expects to foster the chain of supply, but also encourage employment. “More supplies mean more jobs and more and better schools, and therefore the government, businessmen and education institutions join this endeavor”, Mr. Armendariz pointed-out.
