Mexicali, Baja California,- The first heavy cargo hybrid unit manufactured in Mexico has left final tests area. This unit was manufactured in PACCAR Mexico plant in Mexicali, Baja California under the supervision of manufacturing, engineering and product development areas.

Marco Antonio Davila, PACCAR Mexico Assistant Operations Director, was responsible to coordinate the team which performed this historic task. “We trained personnel, adapted the production line for the installation of special components and made sure we had all the materials on time to smoothly complete the unit”, Davila said.

This unit is the first of many which several companies have recently ordered. “After we received the order for this unit from Bimbo Group a few months ago, we undertook the task to research and develop the engineering required to manufacture these models in Mexicali, with the high quality our plant has always provided, which has been widely acknowledged”, Javier Morales, Product Engineering Director for PACCAR Mexico, pointed out.
