Monterrey, Mexico.- Two years after Delphi closed its plant in Anahuac, Nuevo Leon due to the destruction caused by hurricane Alex, it has been announced that as of next August this municipality will go back to life with the arrival of a new company, which will hire 700 people. Arnecom – a subsidiary of the Japan-based Yazaki Corporation with operations in around 30 countries – has refurbished the industrial building where Delphi operated, to manufacture automotive harnesses.
Javier Garza Garcia, Anahuac City Mayor said that this company has invested close to US$1 million in the site.
In a phone interview, Mayor Garza Garcia said that the plant will start operating by stages, being the first one next month with the installation of a production line that will operate in three shifts, to which purpose 150 people will be hired.
