With an investment a little over MEP$800 million (US$80 million) Michelin, the tires manufacturer, will start operating in Mexico a new tires sales and service franchise, with more than 35 shops, named Tyreplus, within the next five years.

The license will cost US$25 thousand to use the brand, in addition to providing training and using a computer system, informed in a press conference Txomin Castillo, Commercial Director for Michelin Mexico and Rodrigo Gonzalez, Franchises Manager, who pointed-out that these shops will be preventive maintenance centers for brake systems, suspensions, wheels alignment and balancing, among others.

Three of these franchises are already operating in Chiapas, Morelos and Nayarit.

In this new business scheme, royalties are 2% of tires sold, and 6% on services invoiced; in addition to 3% on invoicing for advertising.
