Saltillo, Mexico,- Businessmen from Monterrey opened their wallets to invest in Saltillo, encouraged by the US trucks assembly plant Daimler Trucks, which started operating this year.

To begin with, across the street from the trucks factory Grupo Avante and Desarrollos Globales Alianza are investing US$19 million in the development of Derramadero Alianza Industrial Park that will host the assembler’s suppliers and other companies.

In addition, also in Derramadero, Buro Inmobiliario Nacional, headed by Benjamin Clariond Reyes-Retana, invested US$5 million in Hotel One, from Grupo Posadas hotels chain, which was inaugurated yesterday, creating 100 direct and indirect jobs.

Another Monterrey company benefited with this economic contribution was Eco, works coordination team, which managed and supervised the works to build this hotel.
