Mexico City.- Jose Angel Gurria, General Secretary, OECD, said that Mexico has faced the global crisis better than other countries, for they did their homework on time and make prompt decisions.
In an interview during the seventh meeting of the World Economic Forum for Latina America, he said that the challenge for the Mexican government now are reforms on several areas, such as fiscal, education, energy and labor, which after a great progress are still pending.
He also pointed out that reforms in Competition Act or Public-Private Associations are proof that these changes can be done.
He affirmed that once the US public debt is solved, there is progress in bailouts of indebted countries in Euro zone and elections are over, the economic outlook for Mexico will improve considerably.
