Mexico.-In spite of the crisis and all that has been lived, Mexico is globally acknowledged as a sound and stable economy, an economy that generates growth and employment, an exporting power committed to free trade, President Felipe Calderon affirmed. Without mentioning Argentina by its name, he did say that there are some countries that flatly acknowledge they cannot compete with Mexico, and that our country attracts big investments, it grows and generates employment.
Heading the event “A High Engineering Mexico”, he said that Mexico is no longer the fifth but is now the fourth automotive vehicles exporter in the world and only between January and May more than 411,000 jobs were generated. He further said that in his Administration, i.e. from December 2006 to last May, 1.7 million new jobs were created, which is almost three times as much as those generated in the previous Administration in even term.
