Mexico City.- In the last decade, the international aeronautics sector has undergone a structural transformation process. A consolidation trend is observed practically all over the world, as proved by the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Some examples of change in this industry all over the world are airlines merges in Europe, between Air France and KLM, or at the United States, with United Airlines and Continental, as well as the recent Chapter 11 filed by American Airlines.
In the last few years, several airlines have been restructured or have stopped operating. In general, airlines usually have cost efficient structures, consistent with international productivity and competitive business models that stand out for the intensive use of assets and aircraft.
