Tokyo.- Mazda Motor, the Japanese automobiles manufacturer, started training Mexican workers at their headquarters in Hiroshima as preparation for the opening of their new plant in Mexico, Mazda’s first in Latin America.
Mazda has plans to train in Hiroshima up to 180 Mexican workers from now and up to 2013 fiscal year, which in Japan ends on March 2014, date when the plant, currently under construction, is expected to be in full operation, the company informed in a press release.
Mazda plans for this new plant consider an initial production of 100,000 units per year of Mazda2 and Mazda3 models, to be sold in Mexico, Brazil and other Latin American countries.
