Mexico City,- Mazda Motor de Mexico had record sales in December, with two thousand 704 units, 36% over the units sold in November and 31% over cars sold in December 2007.During 2008, the assembler accrued sales for 21 thousand 997 units in the Mexican market, which meant 33% more than sales made from January to December 2007.
Therefore, in spite of economic conditions all over the world, December 2008 was the best month for sales in three years, when Mazda Mexico started operating in Mexico, the Company assured.
Leopoldo Orellana, CEO for Mazda Motor de Mexico, said they have a great challenge for 2009, “because we will have to face this hard crisis, but we are confident our labor force – which provides high quality and good service – will keep us firm and we will continue growing”.
Mazda dealers’ network will grow in 2009 in Mexico, which will allow reaching cities where they do not have presence yet, to increase sales; in addition to keeping competitive prices, Orellana said.
