Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.- Around 43 companies started a certification process to be members of the National Suppliers Development Center, Centro Nacional de Desarrollo de Proveedores (Cenadep) to be approved to sell supplies to maquiladora industry.
In order to take advantage of maquiladora supplies market, the Maquiladoras Association, governments and education institutions created Cenadep, which is responsible to certify the job made by companies in Ciudad Juarez and provide assurance to maquiladora industry that quality materials will be delivered on time.
Martín González De la O, Director, Cenadep, said that Mexican companies barely sell 3.4% of supplies consumed by maquiladora industry and the rest is imported from the United States.
