Coahuila, Mexico.- Grupo Magna will invest US$53 million within the next three years in Coahuila’s southeast region, of which US$10 million will be immediately allocated to the construction of a Robotics Plant, which will generate 160 direct jobs, and where technology will be produced to be applied by the major automobiles assemblers in the world. The Plant should be operating by the end of this year.
The investment agreement was executed by Scott Paradise, VP, Marketing & Business Development, The Americas at Magna International and Coahuila Governor Ruben Moreira, at an event held in the Auditorium of Museo del Desierto (Desert Museum).
The agreement states that the remaining US$43 million will be invested in expanding the plants Magna is already operating in Coahuila’s Southeast, Carbonifera and North regions, with 10,000+ jobs, mainly in Saltillo and Ramos Arizpe, from the 110,000 people working for the company throughout Mexico.
