Mexico.- Gas Natural Fenosa executed today an agreement with the Japanese Group Mitsui & Company to sell them 0.875% of Gas Natural Mexico shares, in an operation valued in around US$5.4 million.According to a press release, the agreement was closed together with Sinca Inbursa, partner of Gasimex, the Spaniard holding company of Gas Natural México.
It further says that the purchase-sale agreement for the shares sold by Gas Natural Fenosa is subject to the corresponding approval by regulation agencies in Mexico.
He added that this sale is not expected to cause any significant appreciation of the shares.
The press release also points-out that when the purchase-sale agreed materializes, the Group will keep control and management of Gas Natural Mexico, with 70.9% shareholding.
The Group mentioned that Gas Natural Fenosa is the main natural gas distribution operator in Mexico, with presence in eight states, including Mexico City.
