Mexico City,- Four Japanese assemblers and Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) entered an alliance to increase the installation of electric vehicles recharge stations around the world, to encourage the use of said automobiles and standardize their recharge.Toyota Motor Corporation, Nissan Motor Company, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Fuji Heavy Industries (owner of Subaru) and TEPCO formed “CHAdeMO Association”.
“158 entrepreneurial entities and government agencies, including 50 foreign companies, are expected to join the Association, such as automobiles assemblers, electric power companies, chargers manufacturers, recharge service purveyors and other groups”, Toyota says in their webpage.
