Mexico is becoming one of the preferred destinations for investors related to some link in the automotive chain, due to its geographical location and qualified labor for a low cost.Recently, Toyoda Gosei, Hayer Lemmerz International and Fiat announced their intention to either establish in Mexico or expand their operations.
Asians are also turning their eyes to Mexico; per information provided by the Mexican Auto Parts Industry Association, Industria Nacional de Autopartes (INA), Sumitomo Electric, Hyundai MObis, Jtkekt, Mitsubishi Electric and Tokai Rika are some of the companies interested in establishing in Mexico.
Also interested in coming to Mexico are the Japanese NHK Spring, which manufactures suspensions, brakes and seats; Stanley Electric, which is specialized in lighting; Keihin which develops fuel control systems; Showa, which is expert in electronic components and finally the Korean company Mando Corp., which manufactures and sells steering systems.
