Guadalajara, Jalisco,- Only in machinery and innovation US$216 million will be invested by electronics industry, automotive companies, pharmaceuticals and agriculture supplies, among other fields.

The above was informed by the Chairman of the Mexican Plastics Industry Association, Asociacion Nacional de Industrias del Plastico (Anipac), Eduardo Martinez Hernandez, who further pointed-out that, in addition, there are plans to invest MXP$250 million in the installation of recycling centers, to have twelve factories to meet this purpose that is increasingly needed due to environmental demands.

As an example of these investments in recycling plants, he said that next January one of these factories is expected to start operating at Arandas Municipality. This plant will have a recycling capacity of 20,000 tons per day.

He said that 2011 is expected to be a good year for the rebound of plastics industry, because investments portfolio considers US$1.8 billion in several fields, from industries linked to IT to plastics applications in agriculture.
