Mexico City.- Aerolineas ejecutivas (Ale) has reached an agreement with Honda to be their representative in Mexico for sales of the new HondaJet light jet. Even if the new light jet will only arrive to Mexico in 2012, Alejandro Alonso, Ale’s CEO, informed that they have already received 19 orders. From such 19 airplanes – each costing US$4.5 million – 15 will be for this leading company in executive aviation and the other 4 were purchased by Mexican companies, which names Mr. Alonso kept for himself.
Ale will receive the first 3 airplanes in the fourth quarter of 2012, to later receive 3 more each year. Production of the new aircraft will start within a few months, due to the fact that the process for certification by US aeronautics authorities is underway.
