Irapuato, Mexico.- Before the rumors that Honda will be installed in Guanajuato, the Ministry of Sustainable Economic Development acknowledged the interest shown by this Japanese company to invest at the State. In a press release the Ministry informed that Honda officers have visited Guanajuato, among other states in Mexico.
“The State Government has stayed in touch with the company and presented a proposal including comparative and competitive advantages offered”, it says.
The Ministry explained that one of the policies to attract investment set by the State Government is that “whenever there is interest by investors to get familiar with the environment to install their production plants at the State, a confidentiality agreement is entered, which limits us, as government, to disclose details about the negotiations or the project; such agreement includes the municipalities visited”.
“Therefore, it is the investor who will make the official announcement about the site in Mexico where they decide to invest and the operation’s technical data”.
