Mexico.- Armored vehicles industry in Mexico will work on around 3,200 units this year, for an approximate growth of 15% over 2011, according to Esteban Hernandez, Commercial Director for Grupo WBA Blindajes Alemanes.He said that Grupo WBA (which in Mexico includes Blindajes Alemanes and Autosafe) should have bullet-proofed around 500 units by the end of 2012.
Mr. Hernandez said that Mexico is a more mature market in automotive armoring, because now the government sector is an important buyer of this type of units, which had not happened in 10 years.
