Mexico City,- Investment made by companies in Mexico posted a 0,6% year-to-year increase last June, according to the Mexican Statistics Agency, Instituto Nacional de Estadistica y Geografia, lower than expected by the market.Analysts were expecting a 2.1% increase in investment in June, according to the average from a Reuters survey among 11 specialists. The mean in such survey was 1.1%.
Expenditures in machinery and equipment went up 1.3% and construction expenses were increased by 0.2%.
Non-season figures show that fixed investment dropped 2.08% when compared to the previous month.
