Saltillo, Coahuila,- General Motors Complex in Ramos Arizpe will move ahead the return of workers still in a technical stoppage; Bodies Line 2 will go back to work in both shifts as of February 12 and it will be next Monday the 16th when Painting and Assembly go back to work.Antonio Sanchez Jimenez, Public Relations Spokesman for General Motors Mexico, acknowledged that they had planned to restart activities on February 18; however, the date was moved ahead mainly due to production volumes, because production conditions were assessed and based on requirements in orders workers were asked to go back two days earlier.
Regarding statements by CTM in Guanajuato saying that Silao’s plant will have four technical stoppages he said: “What we are doing now is going over our production schedule in order to confirm or not these stoppages and when we make a decision it will be announced, for the time being the matter is not closed yet”.
