Monterrey, Mexico.- Grupo Industrial Saltillo (GIS) is interested in expanding its operations, and they are now looking for plants not only in the automotive field, but also for plants that manufacture ceramic wall and floor tiles and water heaters in Mexico, the USA and Canada, Jose Antonio Lopez Morales, Chief Administration and Finance Officer, informed.
Late last March, Alfonso Gonzalez Migoya, the Group’s President and CEO, said that with MXP$2 billion the company then had in cash, GIS was considering purchasing auto parts plants in the United States and Mexico in order to strengthen this Division and take advantage of growth forecasts for global automotive industry.
Lopez Morales said that the company keeps such goal, but with a wider horizon, since the organic growth plan now involves two other business lines: Ceramic Wall and Floor Tiles and Water Heaters.
