Mexico,- Ford de Mexico will keep its plants in Mexico assembling vehicles at full capacity, Eduardo Serrano, President and CEO, pointed-out.In a press conference Mr. Serrano said that Fusion, Milan and MKZ models produced in Mexico have been very well received in the North American market.
Serrano made emphasis on the fact that, in spite of the world economic crisis in 2009, Hermosillo Plant was operating three shifts all the time. “We are speaking about 300,000 units produced in that plant only”.
He further said that the recently reinaugurated Cuautitlan Plant will produce 90,000 new Ford Fiesta vehicles this year; while Chihuahua Engines Plant will manufacture 200,000 units.
