Puebla, Mexico.- Finsa Industrial Park in Puebla is one building away from reaching 100% occupation, and two spec buildings are being built for new tenants or operations expansion by existing plants there, most of them devoted to auto parts manufacture mainly to supply Volkswagen Plant, located a few miles from this park. The Park’s total surface is 80 hectares; of which 24 are available to build close to 125,000 square meters (1,345,483 sq. ft.) of spec or built to suit buildings.
Ricardo Cervantes, Commercial Director with Finsa and the Park’s administrator, said that construction of new buildings is due to greater market stability, because tenants from the automotive industry are planning to increase their operations considering production growth in Volkswagen, and to supply other companies such as Nissan, since some tenants are suppliers for some customers outside the State of Puebla.
Another reason for the new buildings is anticipating to the arrival of Audi’s new plant, Cervantes said.
He added that they currently have 24 tenants, who all together lease close to 200,000 square meters (2,152,773 sq. ft.), 80% belong to the automotive branch.
