Monterrey, Mexico.- In a month of July, 102 years ago, Willis Carrier invented the first air conditioning equipment that controlled temperature and humidity and ever since the company has been expanding all over the world; nowadays Mexico is one of the countries where production is posting the highest growth, not only to supply the United States, but also the domestic market.
While construction industry has shrunk at some other countries, Mexico is attractive for Carrier due to expansions by companies, the arrival of new companies, growth in hotels, hospitals, industrial parks, housing and corporations infrastructure, among others.
Carrier’s investments in Mexico will exceed US$80 million this year, higher than those made in 2011, and estimates are sales will post 2-digit growth.
According to Manuel Gutierrez, CEO, Carrier Mexico, after the United States and China, Mexico is the country where they have the largest investment capacity in their plants.
