Tokyo,- Problems faced by automotive industry arising from Japan’s earthquake and tsunami are about to worsen.
In coming weeks automobile purchases will find it hard to find models in certain colors, thousands of workers in automotive plants may be forced to take vacation and companies such as Toyota, Honda and others will lose thousands of Dollars in income.
More than two weeks after the natural disaster happened, inventories of important supplies for cars – from computer chips to paint pigments – started running low, since the Japanese plants that manufacture them have had trouble in restarting operations.
Due to the fact that parts and supplies are shipped in slow vessels, supplies shortage will start affecting factories in the United States, Europe and Asia in mid-April.
