Mexico City.- The number of automobiles moved in Mexican ports went up 33.8% in the first four months of this year, when compared to even term in 2011, by going from 304,520 to 407,410 up to April.
In the Pacific Coast automobiles movement up to April went up 21.8%, while in the Gulf of Mexico-Caribbean the rebound was 38.1%.
Lazaro Cardenas, in Michoacan, reported moving 67,106 automobiles up to April 2012, while in even term last year the number was 42,708; therefore the increase was 57.1%.
In Altamira, Tamaulipas, the increase was 48.7%, after going from 10,208 in the first four months of last year to 15,183 units to April this year.
