Queretaro, Mexico.- Queretaro Government estimates that in the next two years the aerospace sector at the state will grow 250% and will also be more intensive in Engineering and Design areas, according to Governor Jose Calzada Rovirosa.
In an interview he said that the aeronautics sector in Queretaro participates with 52% of exports made by this sector. Seven years after this industry started operations at the State, there are 52 companies from this industrial branch established here.
“What is interesting is that we are not only manufacturing or assembling, we are also designing; for example turbines or software and control panels. This is, we are covering not only manufacturing but design as well”, he said.
He further said that there are companies that have hired 1,400 engineers, and expecting to reach 1,500 by the end of the year. Siemens has hired 1,200 engineers and Erickson will soon recruit 500 engineers.
