Mexico City,- The logistics operator ACCEL Logistica reported that in the last four years they invested MEP$83 million in refurbishing and building infrastructure, technology and services, as part of its modernization program.

Manuel Muñoz Martinez, ACCEL Logistica’s General Director said that with this modernization and growth they rank among the first three companies in the Mexican Logistics Sector, by invoicing around MEP$500 million per year, with an annual continuous growth of 30%.

With this modernization, he added, now 80% of the 200 thousand square meters (over 2 million square feet) area they have for storage is 40 feet high, while it used to be 22 feet high. In addition, they invested MEP$30 million to implement software for inventories administration, which integrates all the information about their operations.

Together with their modernization and growth program, he pointed-out that his year they started operating a services maquilador center in Ciudad Juarez, which operates close to Zaragoza border crossing, and is providing savings for at least 20% in time and cost in the export of goods to the USA.
