Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.- Two companies in the industrial branch that employed 120 people closed in the last 2 months, according to Joaquin Alberto Barrios Cervantes, Chairman of the Conciliation and Arbitration Board.
The first hearing is still to be held, starting the process for workers to file claims for their severance payments, but it is still to be seen if employers are willing to pay their former employees, he added.
The first company to close its doors was Mexalianza, a company in the textile sector that operated on Valentin Fuentes Avenue, and the second was Bilingual Resources Services, which operated at a building in Antonio J. Bermudez Industrial Park, he informed.
Both companies together employed 120 people, for each had around 60 workers in their production lines, he further said.
