Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.- 17,412 jobs have been created in the city this year, “which makes us think we will largely exceed the goal we had set early in 2012”, Jose Luis Armendariz Bailon, Chairman of Maquiladoras Association declared.
In the first four moths of the year 70% of the jobs generation goal set by maquilador sector was achieved, by reaching 209,761 jobs, according to figures from the Mexican Social Security Institute.
“Of course, we have not reached 2000 figures, but the recovery process is underway”, Armendariz Bailon said. He further said that right now they are only 6,000 jobs away from reaching the goal set of 20,000 jobs, which he is confident will be largely exceeded.
