Mexico City,- The Ministry of Tourism will invest MEP$93,2 million in the State of Queretaro in tourism projects and MEP$11 million more in the promotion of the State’s main tourism destinations, which will increase the number of tourists, contributing to economy and people’s welfare.

Agreements were entered to invest resources from the federal, state and municipal governments in fostering and diversifying tourism offer; in addition to continuing with the second stage of underground wiring in the City of Queretaro and Pueblo Magico de Bernal, where the urban image is also being remodeled.

In Tequisquiapan, the second stage of the arts and crafts market will be completed and in San Juan del Rio works will be made in Paseo Ribera. Also, in Jalpan, works to improve the urban image will continue. In Landa de Matamoros the central garden will be remodeled and in Corregidora lighting works on the pyramid will continue; other works of interest will be made at the State.

Local authorities and businessmen were called to an active participation in the celebrations of the Independence Bicentennial, because Queretaro will play a decisive role on the celebration, by providing more and better tourism products to be offered during these festive days.
