Puebla, Puebla.- U. Technical Textiles, the German company which manufactures fabric for automobiles, started operations at their new plant in Puebla, where they invested MXP$107 million and will generate 44 direct jobs.
Wilfried Trumpp, Chairman of the Board, said that Puebla was chosen over Monterrey and Chihuahua, due to the incentives offered by the State Government to quickly establish the plant in Ciudad Textil Industrial Park, located in Huejotzingo.
He said that since 2010 several countries were considered for the new plant, deciding to invest in Mexico; however, when they did not see a good disposition at other states considered for the plant, they approached Puebla Government late last year, which offered them to establish the plant in the above-mentioned industrial park on a 3,500 square meter plot of land.
