Mexico.- The United Nations, through their economic foster arm, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), will participate in the development of the chain of supply for maquiladora industry, which at regions like this one represents an opportunity to trigger economy.
UNDP is making a study, together with the Ministry of the Economy, the National Chamber of Electronics Industry, Telecommunications and Information Technologies (Canieti) and the National Council of Maquiladora industry to find the way for Mexican companies to sell supplies to this industry.
Rene Alberto Mendoza Acosta, Director of Canieti’s North Chapter, said that the purpose is making a serious effort, in coordination with governments, to take advantage of the huge maquiladora industry supplies market.
