Mexico.- Jose Luis Armendariz Bailon, Chairman of the Maquiladoras Association, Asociacion de Maquiladoras, A.C., assured the 20,000 new jobs goal will be exceeded and 30,000 new jobs are expected to be created by year-end.
Mr. Amendariz is confident on his 10% growth forecast for Ciudad Juarez. “Early this year we set the goal of reaching 30 new maquiladora companies established in Ciudad Juarez, by midyear we already have 14 new projects working here”, he said.
Armendariz Bailon further informed that they will meet with the 4 elected Representatives, once they receive their majority certificates, to discuss a list of agreements to be reached to accelerate growth here.
