Mexico.- Gloria Guevara Manzo, Mexican Minister of Tourism, and Rodolfo Lopez Negrete, Deputy CEO of Mexico Tourism Promotion Council, Consejo de Promocion Turistica de México (CPTM), will make a business trip this week to Asia to promote our tourism destinations in China, Japan and South Korea. These countries are part of the markets diversification strategy due to their high potential.Just in the first half of the year the number of Chinese visitors in Mexico went up 32.7%, Japanese tourists were increased by 21.6% and from Korea the number went up 14%, when compared to even term last year.
In this business tour Minister Guevara will meet with the main tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, media representatives and government officers from those countries, to whom they will present the several products and programs prepared in Mexico to attract a larger number of Asian tourists, such as the Maya World Program, Gastronomic Routes, Magic Towns, Mexico’s Routes, cultural destinations, adventure tourism and the traditional sun and beach destinations.
