Queretaro, Queretaro.—The State of Queretaro is interested in attracting the investment for the new plant Audi is planning to establish in Mexico, and they have therefore started conversations with the Ministry of the Economy, State Governor, Jose Calzada Rovirosa, revealed.
He pointed out that, just like other companies, Audi has already held some discussions with his Administration, but nothing has materialized yet.
“Of course we have discussed this, even with the Minister of the Economy, Mr. Bruno Ferrari, not only about Audi but about many other companies, many other assemblers interested in establishing in Mexico, which may offer an alternative to Queretaro”, he said.
He assured that Queretaro is interested in attracting the investment, of almost US$2 billion, that Audi will make in Mexico but, to that end —he cleared out— support from the Federation is required.
