Saltillo, Coahuila.- Increase in production, more work shifts, new lines installed, other products manufactured or new vehicle models being prepared are some of the reasons why local companies are hiring more technicians and professionals; Daimler and GST Autoleather, for example.
Mario Rodriguez from Tupy Saltillo informed that this month production was increased by 3,000 tons, and they therefore require 110 represented workers, as well as 10 to 12 white collar employees, which will bring their blue-collar labor force to 2,600 and the white-collar labor force to 700. Tupy’s customers include VW, John Deere, Caterpillar, Navistar and Toyota, among others.
Sara Farias from Mubea de Mexico, which has two plants here, one in Ramos Arizpe Industrial Park and another one in Santa Maria, said that there is a new project coming for the first plant and that in the second plant the second shift rotation will be covered and they will open a third shift.
